Hugo“, “The Artist“, “War Horse“, e “Moneyball” são os líderes de nomeações, destacando-se algumas ausências e surpresas: Leonardo DiCaprio e Ryan Gosling não tiveram nomeações, “As Aventuras de Tintin” e a Pixar estão fora das nomeações para melhor filme de animação, Spielberg foi ignorado num ano em que lançou dois filmes, saudando-se o regresso de Woody Allen com 2 nomeações. De realçar ainda que a lista de nomeados a melhor filme tem nove (?) entradas e a de melhor canção original apenas duas, números inéditos nestas categorias. A cerimónia terá lugar no dia 26 de Fevereiro e será apresentada pelo grande Billy Crystal. Até lá.
